This Privacy Policy explains how Club Point Score handles personal information for the Club Point Score mobile app, officials' dashboard and related services. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

In this policy, "Club Point Score", "we", "us" and "our" means Club Point Score (ABN 81 641 857 575), the provider of the Club Point Score platform. "Your club" means the club or association that uses Club Point Score to manage memberships, competitions, records, boats, payments and member communications.

1. Our role

Club Point Score provides software to clubs. Your club decides what information it needs from members and officials to run its membership, competitions and club records. We store and process that information so the service can be provided to your club.

Club officials authorised by your club may access member and competition information in the platform. Members can access the parts of the service made available to them by their club.

The types of personal information collected through Club Point Score depend on how your club uses the platform. It may include:

Your club is responsible for how its authorised officials use and disclose information they access through the platform.


6. Children and junior members

Club Point Score may be used for junior or small fry members where your club offers those categories. Junior records should be created and managed by a parent or guardian, or by a club official acting under the club's rules.

Junior member information is used for membership, competition, records, trophies and club administration in the same way as other member information, subject to any controls your club applies.


7. Storage, security and overseas processing

The platform's member database is hosted in Australia. Some information, such as photographs, and some supporting services, including payment processing and notification delivery, may be stored or processed outside Australia by our service providers or their related providers. Payments are handled by your club's nominated financial institution.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will take steps required under Australian privacy law.


8. How long information is kept

Information is kept for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including club administration, historical records, competition history, legal requirements, accounting and tax records, security, dispute handling and backup processes.

Some club information, such as competition results, trophies, records and historical membership information, may be kept by your club as part of its permanent club history.


9. Access, correction and deletion

You may ask to access or correct personal information held about you. In many cases you can update your own details in the app, or you can contact your club.

You may also contact us at support@clubpointscore.com.au. We may need to verify your identity and, where the information is controlled by your club, we may refer the request to your club or work with your club to respond.

You may ask for personal information to be deleted. Some information may need to be kept where required by law, for accounting or dispute purposes, or where it forms part of your club's competition or historical records.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will show the date it was last updated. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let affected clubs or users know.
